Though M&A activity has been somewhat suppressed of late, an upswing may be on the cards for the second half of the year. For those companies that do pursue deals, representations and warranties (R&W) coverage is increasingly likely to be part of the transaction process. Originating in the US more than 20 years ago, R&W insurance has become a key feature of M&A markets around the world.
